Birthday Flowers

Syd had a birthday party to attend this weekend.  After I made the Thomas card for another friend, she wanted to find a card for me to copy!  She found this one on Pinterest to recreate.
It was fun to try something totally different than I normally do.  Thanks for the challenge, Syd!  Order your supplies here.

Pinwheel Birthdays

I'm LOVING the cute little pinwheel die in the Spring Mini.  I used it for two birthday cards.  I doesn't get much cuter than a mini pinwheel!  I can't wait to create some banners and use this adorable pinwheel as an accent!  So fun!

Friend Take Two

I still wanted to make a couple more cards and had a few more scraps laying around so I created this card using the same accessories as yesterdays card.  I originally just spritzed the flower with the Pretty in Pink in the Stampin' Spritzer but the flower absorbed some of the ink from the previous flowers so...I need to add a bit of Tangerine Tango to this creation :)

Friend

With my new found free time, I've decided I must actually make cards to send out rather than just stamping for classes.  I was loosing my passion for stamping when I just stamped for classes.  This is one of the cards I created using some pre-cut supplies already on my desk.
I just spritzed the flowers with the Stampin' Spritzer that was filled with Tangerine Tango reinker, alcohol, and champagne mist shimmer paint.  I love the splotchy look on the flower...it makes it look a bit more real to me.  When's the last time you stamped just for fun?  Hope you do it today!  Send me a link to your creation or upload it to my demo FB page to share  :)  Order your supplies here.

Using MDS to create a card you can duplicate

Yeah...I know...long title...but I didn't know what else to say.  I love creating projects in MDS first so I know what I'm going to actually create once I sit down with my real supplies.  I created this project first in MDS.  For this month's MDS class, I created this card using the Summer Smooches DSP and brads.
Here's what the adorable card looks like made with our products :)
It's an easy way to plan a color layout or swap out colors by using MDS first to create your creations.

DSP strips

When I was looking for ideas for my masculine stamp camp, I came across a card on our demo website where the DSP was cut into strips and then re-arranged on the card to create a new pattern. This was my attempt at that card. I only had monochromatic paper that was striped but I still like the effect. It's fun to create something new :)

Snowboarder

Dave took our son snowboarding for the first time in Feburary. I had bought this stamp quite awhile back and now I had an excuse to use it. I saw a card very similar to this on our demo only website and knew I had to create this card for my masculine stamp class in May. J.R. told me that I could definitely make him a snowboarding card for his birthday in November. I was a little sad when the retirement list came out and all of the extreme sports stamps were on it. So glad that I already own them all :) Get yours before it's gone! (The birthday greeting on this card is also retiring...one of my favorite greetings stamp sets All Holidays.)

Happy Graduation!

It seems like graduation is just around the corner for many seniors. This card could either be used as a card or a gift card holder. Perfect graduation cap created with the square scallop die. The tassel is created with a brad and shredded grosgrain ribbon. What colors do you need to make these graduation caps and tassels?
