Spooky

It's always fun to use a mask to create a scene.  This card uses a mask and a reverse mask of a circle.  Glossy White Cardstock is the best paper to use when you're sponging on ink.  The trees and bats are stamped with staz-on. The original idea from this card started when I saw Julie Day's card on Pinterest.  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant, Glossy White
Ink:  Black, Stazon, Night of Navy, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Irridescent Glimmer

Christmas Trees

Here's another card created for last week's stamp camp.  I was inspired by this card create by Paula Dobson.  I changed up the colors to make more of a wintery card.  This has to be one of those all-time stamp sets!  One of the very first stamp sets I bought...how fun you can now get it in clear mount!  The greeting is much bigger so I used markers to only ink the "Merry Christmas" part of the stamp and to get it in two different colors.  :)  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink:  Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue

Sympathy Card

My heart has been very heavy this past week after having received the news of my great uncle & aunt's son's passing.  Even though he is my mom's cousin, it really hit me hard since he's just a few months older than I am.  I knew I needed to send a card that expressed our sympathies to them and his wife and four precious children.  Here's what I came up with.
I love the effect of sponging in an area using a template cut out with the Big Shot.  I first embossed the tree and the greeting and then sponged on the colors starting with the lightest color first.  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Basic Gray, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink:  Versamark, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree, Petite Pairs
Accessories:  Sponge, Big Shot, 3 1/2" Circle Die, Black EP, Embossing Gun, Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Framed Trees

I love the new Paper-Piercing pack!  It was my favorite new thing in the catalog....so I'm still not sure how I left it off my first order I placed.  You can bet that I ordered it as soon as I got my shipment and realized it was missing.  I created this card by cutting out a mat using the Apothecary Accents Framelits on a piece of CS.  I then used the CS as a mask to sponge ink on the card front and then stamp the tree images.  I used the mat pack to punch around the inside edge of the sponging.  Very quick and simple card!  Be sure to join me for Technique Night on TUESDAY, July 10, to see how else you can the amazing Paper-Piercing pack!  Order your supplies here.

Snowboarder

Dave took our son snowboarding for the first time in Feburary. I had bought this stamp quite awhile back and now I had an excuse to use it. I saw a card very similar to this on our demo only website and knew I had to create this card for my masculine stamp class in May. J.R. told me that I could definitely make him a snowboarding card for his birthday in November. I was a little sad when the retirement list came out and all of the extreme sports stamps were on it. So glad that I already own them all :) Get yours before it's gone! (The birthday greeting on this card is also retiring...one of my favorite greetings stamp sets All Holidays.)

Trees Reflection

Lovely as a Tree is a stamp set that is a regular in the stamp catalog. I know that it came out just after I became a demo. I love that it's so easy to use...it makes great masculine cards. It seems to be my go-to stamp set when I need a masculine stamp set that's not sports related. This technique is easily done by stamping the image on a window sheet and then rubbing the window sheet on your cardstock to create the reflection image. So much easier than use a solid stamp or the brayer. It creates the perfect reflection image. Order your supplies here.
