AH!  Convention was AWESOME and exactly the boost I need to get going again.  Over the next few days, I'll be sharing things from Convention, but I really want to start again with the regular posting projects on the blog again.  The summer has been a wonderful one spent with my family.  After attending Convention, I'm ready to create again.  Since today is Big Shot project day, it seems only appropriate that I share one of my swaps I made at Convention.  Wouldn't you know it that I forgot to take a picture of it before I left so you get the view through the clear envelope.

Chevron Dress

When I first saw the Dress Up Framelits in the Spring Mini, I figured there was no reason to even order it.  Well, fast-forward a few months, and I couldn't resist!!!!!  I decided to feature this month's technique on this specific set of framelits.  It's awesome.  Chevron dresses are so very popular right now so I decided I wanted to use a technique to create the Chevron imprint on my dress.  I love the Pool Party color...it's so trendy right now as well (just like the Chevron) so I had to use them together.  I wanted the two-tone look so I cut out the dress with the framelit.  Then I inked the inside of the Chevron Impressions Folder with a brayer using the Pool Party pad.  I laid the dress on top of the ink, closed up the folder, and rolled it through the Big Shot.  Isn't it ADORABLE?!?!?

I added a little ribbon around the waist and added a "pearl" necklace on the dress frame.  You could use these framelits for SO many occasions.  I have a lot more dress creations to share.  Check back tomorrow for more FUN ideas with these framelits.

Colored Flower

I saw this card idea by Jen Timko on the demo page and had to recreate it.  I hadn't thought about coloring the flowers until I saw this card.  All it takes is a reinker (or an ink pad squished to the lid) and an aquapainter...ta-da colored flowers!!!

 Sierra recreated this same card for some thank you cards she wanted to send.

I used a different alphabet die...one that's actually retired.  I must give this a try with our new alphabet die...but I haven't even taken it out of the box yet.  I love all of the fun techniques you can do with the Stampin' Spritzer.  I filled the Spritzer with water, Pretty in Pink reinker, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.  Order your supplies here.

NEW Framelits

First of all, thanks to all of you who joined me for my Open House on Saturday.  I love sharing the products I love with my friends :)  The winners of the door prizes are Martha, Adriana, Colana, Rachael, Renece, and Dora Z. With All My Heart

Swaps

Convention is all about the swaps you take and the swaps you get :) I didn't have a lot of time this year to prep swaps since we were on vacation just before I left for Convention. I had signed up for a 3x3 swap with a group...so I knew I had to finish at least these swaps before I went to Convention. I knew the Big Shot would make things go a little bit faster and love the effect of the impressions folders so it was an easy decision what I should do :)

Syd helped me emboss the spider web on the Concord Crush CS 54 times so I had enough for my swap (one benefit to having an early riser...I had some help :) I spritzed each web with the shimmer mist created with rubbing alcohol and the champagne mist shimmer paint.
