Flowers

Fifth Avenue Floral is one of those flower stamp sets that I really do like.  I've gotten a lot of use out of it while I have owned it.  For this card, I paired it with Curvy Verses.  The Baja Breeze CS is embossed using the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates.  The Texturz Plates provide a very subtle embossing looked.  So very different from the Impressions Folders.  I accented the card with the Chantilly Crochet Trim.  It's so hard for me to say good bye to some of my favorite stamp sets, tools, and accessories!  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla

Birthday Sunflower

As I've been showing these fun treat cups, I've had several of you ask me how someone can get to the candy without tearing apart the fabulous card. Well, my dears, here's the answer....a pull tab!

I first punched the 1 3/4" circle through the card front, attached the treat cup, decorated the front, and added a pocket with a 1 3/4" circle punched out on the inside leaving one end without adhesive. Then I just slipped in a piece of CS over the circle. Ta-da...a pull tab so the card doesn't get destroyed! This card is for my niece's birthday!

Magic Wheel--Technique Tuesday

Friday night club members made this fun project with the Texturz plates on the background of the card. We used the "magic" technique on the wheeled flower image. Wheel wheel on Glossy White CS in versamark ink. Pour white embossing powder over image. Heat. Cool. Get a drop of rubbing alcohol on cotton ball. Place two drops of each color of ink on alcohol on cotton ball. Dab cotton ball on glossy cs. After all color has been added, heat with heat tool again. Give this technique a try and leave me a comment so I can check out your creation!

Card Recipe: CS: Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst, Glossy White; Sets: Congrats, Forever Flowers Wheel; Inks: Versamark, Elegant Eggplant pad & reinker, Almost Amethyst reinker; Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, White Embossing Powder, Rubbing Alcohol, Cotton Ball, Heat Tool, Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain Ribbon, Big Shot, Texturz Plates (SU! Lucky Me!--Challenge Thursday

Sorry for the late post today...sick kiddo! These pictures are from last year's St. Patrick's Day fun. The kids loved dressing in green, eating green food, and trying to catch leprechauns with their leprechaun traps. Although they didn't catch any leprechauns, they were just as excited about the gold coin candies that were left behind instead :) I just used two pieces of Certainly Celery CS for this page. I cut 12 squares that each measure 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". I used a sponge on each square. Most of the squares I ran through the Big Shot with a Texturz Plate and then sponged on some more ink. I love the look of this page. Here's your challenge...take the "square" challenge and complete a page using squares. You can use more or less pictures for the squares...have fun and remember to leave me a comment if you complete the challenge so I can have a peek at your work!

Technique Tuesday--Texturz Plates!

Welcome to the first posting of technique Tuesday. I'm going to try and post a new technique every Tuesday. Some weeks it will be a technique...other weeks it will be a product-focused technique. Yesterday I got my NEW Texturz Plates. Oh, my!!!! I'm in love! They are awesome. All the cards I did last night HAD to have these texturz plates used on them some how!!!

They are super easy to use with the Big Shot. Here's the sandwich I used: Multipurpose Platform, Texturz Plate, Cardstock, Silicone Rubber, Impressions Pad...BEAUTIFUL!!!! Check out page 203 in the catalog to see how fun these new texturz plates are. This card uses my favorite new stamp set "Thoughts & Prayers" found on page 58. I love that ALL stamp sets are now die-cut! How nice is that?!?! :)
