Quick Card #2

I made this quick card on Tuesday night. I haven't used the tearing technique for awhile so it was fun to use again. I've seen hair bows made with ribbon like this so I thought it might be fun to try as an accent on a card. Not to shabby! :)

Quick Cards

Tuesday we had a "card making party" with the women in our church. I'll be posting the cards I made that night the next few days.

I really liked the fun layout of this card. The top corner of Designer Series Paper is folded over to reveil the backside of the paper as well as a a little pocket. I thought it would be the perfect spot for a tag or a gift card. The papers I used are retired DSP from SU! :) I'll definitely be doing this layout on a card or two in the future.

Football Player Graduation

It's definitely that time of year. I made this for a friend to give to her nephew. He's into football so I used that for the background...and of course personalized it with the Just Rite Stamps :) This card is also a money holder. It's a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 CS scored at 4" and 8". The inside flap is punched with the scallop punch and attached with sticky strip.

Teacher Thank You

On a lot of the stampin' blogs I visit, I've seen thank you cards for teachers. Here's my "chalkboard" version. It was a super easy card to make. The "chalkboard" was made with Basic Black CS. I sponged/rubbed Whisper White Craft ink on it. I then stamped the greeting in Whisper White Craft. The bottom of the board was created using a strip of Chocolate Chip CS that I ran through the crimper. The chalk and eraser are just scrap pieces from my desk. I scored the side of the card and inserted brads. Happy Stampin'!

Super Star

Took some time to scrapbook last week. I really needed it! I love to make cards...but I find I'm so much more relaxed when I scrap :) It's definitely my stress relief. I know I need to make more time for it.
