It's GREAT to be...

8! J.R.'s has reached a very important age in our church. At eight year's old, you have the decision to be baptized and confirmed a member of our church. J.R. has decided to take this important step and will be baptized next weekend. We're very excited for this special day and even more excited that it will be shared with many family members and friends. This is the announcement I made for the event. This is definitely one of the reasons I love paper crafting so much. I just make ANY type of announcement or invitation that I want. I just customize it to fit the event. For this particular card, I used my computer more than I usually do to create cards. It worked well, though, since it would have been a lot of alphabet stamping otherwise. The best part of this particular announcement is that J.R. was able to help me by using the Big Shot to cut out all the number "8"s that we needed for the cards. Order your supplies here.

Baroque Ornament

For my demo swap last week, I wanted to try stamping on the bride specialty paper. I had out the Baroque Motifs stamp set so I tried that out. What a great effect the stamp has on this paper...it's fun how the paper resists the stamp. Can't wait to try it out with more stamps!

Hogwarts Invitation

J.R.'s most recent obsession has been with Harry Potter so for his birthday he wanted a Harry Potter party, of course. I decided to make the invitation on Hogwarts stationary.

After a few internet searches I came up with the inside of his invitation...

Thankful Garland

Last week I was just itchin' to make a Thanksgiving decoration for the house. I have ONE Thanksgiving decoration that I made the first year of marriage...so my fall angel is a bit tattered and worn out so I was in the mood for some more decorations. I remembered that I had some leaf garlands left from over from last year's halloween Spooky Spider frame so I decided to pull it out and see what I could figure out. Here's what I came up with:

Each tag has a different letter to spell the word "THANKFUL." I couldn't get just the right picture of it so...guess you'll just have to come over and check it out for yourself. Here are a few more close-ups.

Happy Fall!!! It's definitely a time to be thankful.

Leaf Napkin Rings

I LOVE how these turned out. When I first started playing around with them, I was going to make the whole npakin ring out of the wood sheets but then realized the bride speciality paper would be GREAT to personalize to match your Thanksgiving table. We made these at technique night also. Everyone used their own colors. It was AMAZING. I can't wait to create these fun napkins for our Thanksgiving table.
