Football Player Graduation

It's definitely that time of year. I made this for a friend to give to her nephew. He's into football so I used that for the background...and of course personalized it with the Just Rite Stamps :) This card is also a money holder. It's a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 CS scored at 4" and 8". The inside flap is punched with the scallop punch and attached with sticky strip.

Teacher Thank You

On a lot of the stampin' blogs I visit, I've seen thank you cards for teachers. Here's my "chalkboard" version. It was a super easy card to make. The "chalkboard" was made with Basic Black CS. I sponged/rubbed Whisper White Craft ink on it. I then stamped the greeting in Whisper White Craft. The bottom of the board was created using a strip of Chocolate Chip CS that I ran through the crimper. The chalk and eraser are just scrap pieces from my desk. I scored the side of the card and inserted brads. Happy Stampin'!

Super Star

Took some time to scrapbook last week. I really needed it! I love to make cards...but I find I'm so much more relaxed when I scrap :) It's definitely my stress relief. I know I need to make more time for it.

Anniversary Trees

My hubby called me the other day on his way home from work. His co-worker who was riding with him was also on the phone...someone needed a card for their anniversary the next day. Wife's favorite color is green, and she loves nature. So I set to work quickly. I used a layout I've used multiple times but I love the effect. It looks different when you use it on a colored sheet of CS. She loved it!
Card Recipe: CS: Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand; Ink: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip; Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Hugs & Wishes; Accessories: Coluzzle (to create oval template for sponging & stamping), sponge, Wide Oval, Scallop Oval, 1/16" hand punch

Happy Anniversary!

This card was made from scraps already on my desk. I had cut too many "triangle" cuts so I thought it would be fun to try using this as a card! I just backed it with the Close to Cocoa. Stamp the flower stem and added crystal effects to make the flowers pop :) Fun card!

Teacher Appreciation Day

I'm so thankful for my kids' teachers. We've been so blessed to have such positive influences on our kids. I actually got some time to stamp and paper craft last night. Here's what I whipped up using the Big Shot (man, I LOVE that thing!!!!):

Each "drawer" has a pair of earrings. I had thought about candy, but one of the teachers is diabetic and just recently got her ears pierced so I decided that would be a fun "treat" inside.

Recipe: CS: Chocolate Chip OR Basic Black, Whisper White; Stamps/Ink: None...although I made a quick 3x3 card using the "Thank You Kindly" stamp set w/ the large oval punch, the scallop oval punch, and the matching ink pad; Accessories: Big Shot, Matchbox Die, Extended Cutting Pads, Top Note Die, Standard Cutting Pads, 1/16" punch, Metallic Brads, Sticky Strip, Bone Folder
