October Fun
My kids are currently on fall break. This is by far my favorite vacation time during the school year. We're lucky enough to live where it is beautiful weather in the fall so we can pretty much enjoy just about any where without all the summer visitors. I had fun creating some great packaging ideas for last week's stamp camp. Here was one of the favorites:

Spritzed Shapes
For these cards, I knew what I wanted...a shape that was white with spritzing around it with a greeting stamped through both. Here's what I came up with.
This one was hard to get a good picture of but it turned out awesome! These cards would be so easy to duplicate. How fun would it be to have a tree shape, a pumpkin shape, etc to use for the holidays!?! You could also choose to use the negative image and just spritz the inside shape. Order your supplies here.
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip (top), Pink Pirouette & Melon Mambo (bottom)

Happy Birthday Label
I love when you can use stamps in a different way. Of course, the Sweetly Framed hostess stamp set is made to have the words and the images work inside the label. I decided to do a little bit of an out of the box idea with this label after seeing some inspiration with other label type images.
I LOVE how this card turned out! So simple but yet it's perfect! Order your supplies here.

Happy Anniversary
Yesterday we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. It certainly doesn't seem liked it's already been that long...and other days I can't believe it's only been 14 years (I mean that in a good way...it seems like we've always been together :) Here's the very simple card I made my hubby. Besides...he cares most what it says inside :)
This would be a really fun card that could be duplicated very easily. You could swap out the heart for just about any shape! Definitely an easy card for just about any occasion! Order your supplies here.

Big Shot Swaps
Today I figured it would be fun to share just a few of the swaps I received at Convention. These 3 swaps were all made using the Big Shot. They are each so different...but all three really appeal to me! Join me for Thursday night's Technique Night to see even more of my Convention swaps!
Fun, huh! Just before I headed to Convention, I had a need for a sympathy card so I created this quick card to send to family.

Soot Stamping
Awhile ago, I saw on Barb's blog these cards created using soot stamping. I knew I had to try it right away! Here's my first card made with soot stamping...so fun!
To soot stamp you need to use glossy cardstock. Light a candle and put the glossy side of the cardstock through the flame. Keep moving it around until the entire paper is soot covered. Be careful of the edges...blow out quickly if it catches fire :) Yes, I do know this from experience! After your cardstock is covered in soot, stamp a clean stamp straight down on the cardstock. Spray with Kryon clear spray (that's what created the little spots on my cardstock...not sure if all sprays do that, but I kind of like how it looks.) Let dry and then it's ready to use :) Order your supplies here.
Cardstock: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Glossy Cardstock
Ink: Basic Black Ink Pad, Crumb Cake Marker
Stamps: Feeling Sentimental, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories: Hemp Twine, Big Shot, Needlepoint Border Impressions Folder, Color Spritzer

Sucker Pumpkin
Today we're off to the Pumpkin Patch so I knew which project I wanted to share today!
Isn't this pumpkin fun? I just cut a strip of CS about 2" x 8 1/2" and scored it at every 2", punched a hole for the tootsie pop stick to come through, inserted the sucker, and sealed it up with Sticky Strip. I added a pumpkin on front and on back (3 Extra-Lg. Ovals) and added a face. Stamped the greeting on Gumball Green CS with the illuminate glimmer stamp pad, punched out with the word window punch, punched out a hole for the tag to fit on the stick, slide it on, and tied it up with ribbon! Order your supplies here.
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Basic Black Marker, Illuminate Glimmer
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories: Paper cutter & scoring blade, Ribbon, Word Window & Extra-Lg. Oval Punches
Check out the Clearance Rack today...over 70 items have been added!!! Envelopes in Naturals White & Naturals Ivory for $2.59 are a STEAL. You bet I stocked up to mail out Christmas cards! They still have a bit of 99 cent fabric as well! Order now! Supply is limited and will go QUICKLY at these prices!

Birthday Grandma!
Sorry for the lack of posts last week. Life just got a little busy and something had to slow down for a bit. But I'm ready to go again and hopefully can stay re-charged. :) This week my Grandma celebrates her 89th birthday. This weekend her family gathered together to celebrate. We were sad that we couldn't make it, but I'm so thankful we were able to visit her this summer and have some very special one-on-one time with each other. While we were at her house, she pulled out things from her treasure chest and told us about each one of them. It's a moment in time that I will always treasure. I hope it's something my kids will always remember as well. It was a very special time. I created this card with her in mind. My grandma has always had beautiful flowers and an amazing garden. I often think of her garden when I see flowers so it was only fitting to add flowers to her birthday card. Those of you who attended stamp camp last weekend (thanks for a GREAT time despite the terribly hot day!) were able to make this fun birthday card.
Order your supplies here.
