Colored Windowpane

At a recent Stampin' Up! Regional, a demonstration was shown how to color the windowpanes using a reinker and rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball dabbed on the flat side of the windowpane.  For my classes this month, we've heated them up with the heat tool so we can keep on creating our project.  I LOVE this idea!  So fun to add some color to your project instantly.  Order your supplies here.

Baby Bundle

We used the sketch from the main catalog on p. 78 to design this baby card.  Since we were making multiples of this card, we needed to simplify the card in the catalog and came up with this card.  Since this card will be going in a gift package of cards, we wanted to make it neutral colors so it could be used for a boy or a girl.  Love how this card turned out!  I definitely need to pull out my watercolor crayons again...just got them all into their new storage cases....they look so pretty in there :)  Order your supplies here.

Birthday Wishes

This idea came from the front cover of the catalog.  I love how this card came together.  We used a retired package of Designer Series Paper...I believe it was the Sweet Pea DSP.  I can definitely see using this card sketch for a lot of cards.  How fun would this be for a Christmas card or any other holiday?  It would be a GREAT way to use up some DSP scraps that I of course have laying around!  Order your supplies here.

Shadow Stamping

This week Emily & I stamped together to create some card packets.  Throughout the next few weeks, I'll show you the cards we created together.  We had one last card to design for the card packets, and Emily really wanted to use this stamp set that she had still unmounted.  So we set to work!   I LOVE how this turned out.  The shadow stamping technique is easy to get by stamping first in the crumb cake, cleaing the stamp, and then stamping again in Whisper White craft ink just shifting the stamp slightly to create a shadow.  Order your supplies here.

Happy Mother's Day

This is my swap card for tonight's demo meeting.  I really wanted to use a technique that I haven't used in awhile so I decided to emboss the flower in black embossing powder and then bleach out parts of the flower with bleach on a q-tip.  Such an easy technique that adds just the perfect touch.  I also used the glittery smooch accent ink over top (which you can't really see in this picture).  What are you going to be making for Mother's Day?  Start planning your project today!  Order your supplies here.
