Snowman and a snowflake

I saw this fun snowman on Patty's blog. She received it as a swap at convention. It thought how perfect it would be to go along with this glittery snowflake on the inside of the card.

Sets: Sincere Salutations
Inks: Basic Black
Punches: 1 ¾” Circle, 1 ¼” Circle, 1” Circle, Jumbo Snowflake
Other: Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Vintage Brads, Bermuda Bay Polk Dot Ribbon, Tombow Multi Adhesive, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Clear Packing Tape

Tips: Tear snow, add tombow to torn edge, and dip in dazzling diamonds glitter. Attach to cardfront to dry.
Adhere snowman circles together and then add buttons.
Tie a knot in the ribbon and then attach to snowman.
Inside snowflake: Punch out of Bermuda Bay CS and trim to 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”. Adhere packing tape to the back and dip in dazzling diamonds glitter. Punch several large circles in the Basic Black CS so the snowflake will show through to the white. Adhere three layers together.

Worm Wishes

For some reason, I had in my mind this cute stamp set had retired so when I was preparing for my punch class, I didn't think I could use this fun card I made for our friend's birthday. Guess what?!?! This stamp set is still current :) The "magnifying glass" is perfect for a boy card...add the bugs, and you're near perfection! I stamped the background with the bugs and then put the top two layers together. I punched a 1 1/4" circle through the layer so you could see the background paper. I added a piece of a window sheet to the back of the circle to look like the glass on a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass was created by punching a 1 1/4" circle and then punching a 1 3/8" circle around it. The handle is created with the word window punch and then adding a brad with the 1/16" handheld punch.

Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Window Sheets Medium
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Only Orange
Stamps: Bugs & Kisses
Accessories: 1 1/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1/16" handheld, and word window punches, vintage brads

Stepped-Up Thank You Card

Same card as yesterday...just took it to the next step :) Added a background stamp to the base of the card using the Dusty Durango ink. Add more interest by sponging on Ruby Red ink lightly using a sponge dauber. Used the cutter kit to rough up the edges and then sponge more color on the edges. Paper pierced the bottom of the card using the mat pack and the paper piercer.

Cardstock: Dusty Durango, Whisper White
Ink: Dusty Durango, Ruby Red
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts, Sanded
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Cutter Kit, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer
Technique: Two-Tone stamping (stamp image in lightest color...Dusty Durango...sponge image edges using a sponge dauber with the darker color...Ruby Red....it adds a little dimension to the flowers)

I'm stamping again :)

I'm mostly caught back up on life again after our vacation so I finally found myself with some time to myself today since the older two returned to school and the little one was crashed on the floor for a nap :) I decided to start simply with this card...I'll be posting more of my creations this week. Watch for daily posts again starting today! :)
