Happy Birthday

Just a quick happy birthday card today.  The background was created using the Illuminate Glitter Watermark stamp pad rubbed on the Elegant Lines Impressions Folder.  The edge around the oval is created using the scallop edge border punch.  I just used the bone folder to make it pliable and then added it behind the oval using sticky strip.  Gotta run!  Order your supplies here.

Little later than usual post...would you believe I just turned on the computer when I put the kids to bed?  It's been a busy day but a very productive day :)  Have you started thinking about what you're going to create for your Christmas card this year yet?

Christmas Trees

Here's another card created for last week's stamp camp.  I was inspired by this card create by Paula Dobson.  I changed up the colors to make more of a wintery card.  This has to be one of those all-time stamp sets!  One of the very first stamp sets I bought...how fun you can now get it in clear mount!  The greeting is much bigger so I used markers to only ink the "Merry Christmas" part of the stamp and to get it in two different colors.  :)  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink:  Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue
Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree, Wacky Wishes

Birthday Layered Tag

Something I've noticed a lot lately is lots of layers using punches.  I created this card a few weeks ago to feature the FREE ribbon you can get this month with a $40 order.  I decided to layer the birthday greeting with lots of punches.
I also used the fun technique of the glimmer watermark pad inked on an impressions folder to create the background on the Midnight Muse cardstock.  Definitely one of my FAVORITE techniques right now!  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  So Saffron, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink:  Midnight Muse, Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Pad
Stamps:  Petite Pairs
Accessories:  1 3/8" circle, Decorative Label, 1" circle, Large Oval Punches, Dimensionals, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, Bone Folder, Gumball Green Ribbon

Halloween Witches

I LOVE the fun side of Halloween.  I love the fun decorations (not really into the scary stuff).  I love getting dressed up (trying to convince my 10-year-old it's still cool to dress up as a family like we did this year and this year). I love hosting the Witch's Diner every year.  I love the delicious goodies that are served at Halloween.  I love the fun spirit it brings.  When I saw this card created by LeeAnn Greff, I couldn't wait to try it out.  Super easy to just use punches to create the skirts!
How FUN is that?!?!  It was one of the most popular cards at last weekend's stamp-a-stack.  I had to cut more cardstock for guests to make this card. Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi
Ink:  Black, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Elegant Eggplant Markers
Stamps:  Wicked Cool, Wacky Wishes (hostess)
Accessories:  1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon (on p. 26 of the Holiday Mini just in case you missed it like I did the first time around :), Scallop Edge Border Punch, Curly Label Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch

Board Book

Did you realize that you can now create a board book with MDS 2?!  They showcased the board books at Convention so I was dying to make one.  I had the perfect reason last week!  We celebrated a birthday of a good friend this week so I put together his own ABC book which included pictures of him on nearly every page.  I'm just waiting for it to arrive so I can share the finished project with you!!!!  Have a great day :)

Birthday Grandma!

Sorry for the lack of posts last week.  Life just got a little busy and something had to slow down for a bit. But I'm ready to go again and hopefully can stay re-charged.  :)  This week my Grandma celebrates her 89th birthday.  This weekend her family gathered together to celebrate.  We were sad that we couldn't make it, but I'm so thankful we were able to visit her this summer and have some very special one-on-one time with each other.  While we were at her house, she pulled out things from her treasure chest and told us about each one of them.  It's a moment in time that I will always treasure.  I hope it's something my kids will always remember as well.  It was a very special time.  I created this card with her in mind.  My grandma has always had beautiful flowers and an amazing garden.  I often think of her garden when I see flowers so it was only fitting to add flowers to her birthday card.  Those of you who attended stamp camp last weekend (thanks for a GREAT time despite the terribly hot day!) were able to make this fun birthday card.

Order your supplies here.
