Together Forever

Yesterday was the 66th Wedding Anniversary for a couple we know. I made this card that we dropped off to them. It was a very simple card...but very elegant! I embossed a piece of vellum using the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die. I then cut out the embossed flowers and attached it to a card front. Tied the ribbon on. Stamped the "Forever" stamp that I got for FREE on my last order in Whisper White CS. Do you know how I got it for FREE? I ordered $40 from the Occasions Mini. You can also get it for FREE when you host a workshop (or place an order for yourself) totaling $150! :) Don't miss this great offer available until April 30. Happy Thursday! I have lots of stamping to do this weekend but nothing I can share...yet! I'm making my sister's graduation announcements, her thank you cards, and a few more scrapbook pages to add to her senior scrapbook.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day

In my previous lifetime (aka before kiddos), I was an "administrative professional" by day. Can't let this day past without a little good for my son's school secretary and my husband's secretaries at work.

I needed a break from the kitchen project today and I really wanted to watercolor so I made this fun card. I wheeled the Neighborhood Wheel in Basic Brown ink on Confetti White CS and watercolored with the AquaPainter and classic inks. The middle house is cut out and popped up with dimensionals. :) I know just the person to send this card to!

For You Cattails

I had to try another card with the cattails :) I also got to use two things from the Occasions Mini...the Oval All stamp set and the new oval scallop punch!!! How fun!

Card Recipe: CS: Kraft, Chocolate Chip; Ink: Chocolate Chip; Stamps: Oval All, Inspired by Nature, All Holidays; Accessories: Big Shot w/ Dot Texturz Plate (on Chocolate Chip strips), Slot Punch, Scallop Oval, Lg. Oval, Sm. Oval, Dimensionals

I've seen several cards with the Inspired by Nature stamp set and the slot punch so I thought I would give it a try for technique night tonight. During the summer, my dad would take us down to the bottoms to pick the cattails. I used to love rubbing them...they are so soft. Fun to recreate something from my childhood.

Technique Tuesday--Circle Card

I made this circle card for tomorrow night's technique night with my club members. The ribbon is tied around the edge that is not cut. I love the greeting in this hostess stamp set. It's a nice reminder that kind words are always best even when hurtful words have been spoken to you...whether it was meant directly to you or not.

Nield Name Frame

I'm back for a bit...our computer has been haywire over the weekend. The problem is solved today with a new mouse. Hopefully, no more computer problems! For Christmas, I made Name Frames for my mom to give to her siblings, my dad's siblings, and their parents. Every time my Grandma's sister-in-law comes over, she comments about my Grandma's name frame so my Grandma requested I make one for her. Here is hers...finally.

I really must do some stamping tonight and tomorrow night so hopefully I'll be posting more frequently than not this week...although, it is spring break for the kiddos the next two weeks so that great plan may change :)
