Make-n-Take Banner

This year's Convention Make-n-Takes were all able to be displayed on a banner. Since I didn't finish the projects at Convention this year, I spent last weekend finishing up the banner project to display at my new catalog Open House. I really like how it all goes together this year! Such a fun way to display a sampling of what Stampin' Up! really has to offer. So many options! Order your supplies here.

Thanks So Much Flowers

After I got home from Convention, I had several quick thank you cards I needed to make. So I used one of my FREE stamp sets from convention (because I learned at Convention that FREE stamps stamp better...definitely true :). I also wanted to use the new In Color Calypso Coral. I decided to pair it with Daffodil Delight. I feel it really brought out the orangish hue of this color...but I liked it that way :) It will be fun to keep using and see what hue shows up the most.

You use the corner rounder punch to create the fun square shapes. I'll definitely be using this idea again! Today I'm celebrating my 7th anniversary with Stampin' Up! Thanks so much to each of my stampin' friends for making this accomplishment possible! :) Order your supplies here.

Dec. 25 Swap

Last year, I did a Christmas card swap. So when I saw that the Tags 'Til Christmas stamp set made it into the catalog, I knew that would be the set I would use for a swap. I spritzed the background with the shimmer mist created with champagne shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol. It also uses the new Lace Ribbon Border punch. It's so fun to see how many people are specifically swapping for Christmas cards...great way to get ideas for your own Christmas card! Order your supplies here.

Swaps

Convention is all about the swaps you take and the swaps you get :) I didn't have a lot of time this year to prep swaps since we were on vacation just before I left for Convention. I had signed up for a 3x3 swap with a group...so I knew I had to finish at least these swaps before I went to Convention. I knew the Big Shot would make things go a little bit faster and love the effect of the impressions folders so it was an easy decision what I should do :)

Syd helped me emboss the spider web on the Concord Crush CS 54 times so I had enough for my swap (one benefit to having an early riser...I had some help :) I spritzed each web with the shimmer mist created with rubbing alcohol and the champagne mist shimmer paint. Be sure to come on Saturday to the New Catalog Open House to see the amazing 3x3 creations I received in return. Order your supplies here.

Convention Highlights

Just returned home from Convention! Be sure to check out this video to see how much fun we had. See if you spot anyone you know :)

Saturday Convention Fun

Saturday morning we attended more stamp classes. After lunch, we got in line for the last General Session. At the front of the line again :)

While we waited for the session to start, we took more pictures of each others' swaps and of each other.

At this session, demonstrators got to walk on stage for career accomplishments. I walked on stage for $100,000 in career sales. I'm SO close to reaching this goal...in fact I should reach it next weekend....so I celebrated a little early :)

After the amazing Convention was over, I went to the airport and waited and waited for my flight. It wasn't all that bad...especially since I got to talk to my mom for nearly 2 hours and get prepped for Sunday :)

Friday Fun

Jenn and friends started the morning with Stampin' Classes. After lunch, we had another General Session. Of course, we got our front row seats again :)

After General Session got over, we snapped a few pictures before heading to dinner.

We went to the Garden Restaurant...such yummy food...it was even better that my sister Amber got to join us for dinner.

Wednesday Convention Highlights

Yup, today is my birthday. Last night I flew to SLC to attend the annual Stampin' Up! Convention while Dave and the kids headed to Arizona. Karen and Betty happened to actually be in town so I got to spend the night at their house. We enjoyed sharing stories and precious memories about our family. We had a quick breakfast before I headed off to begin the rest of my week.
Then it was off to meet my friends at the hotel, pick up our convention loot, visit Memento Mall,

lunch, visit to Headquarters,

came to our hotel room to find a little birthday gift from Memento Mall from Melissa,

celebration at the Garden Party, and then a walk to find some very yummy frozen yogurt.
