Birthday Flowers
This card was pretty easy to do (pretty straight forward)...just rub-on, stamp greeting, and scallop bottom edges (which you can't see the scallop on the top Basic Black because of the scan). I've had a question asked about how you actually add a rub-on so I'm adding written instructions here. (If I have time later today, I'll post step-by-step pictures w/ the instructions.)
1. Cut out rub-on (including backing sheet).
2. Remove rub-on from backing sheet.
3. Lay the image on a flat surface, and firmly rub the image with the rub-on stick to transfer it to your project. Ta-da...you're done. Although, if you did make a mistake, just take out your adhesive remover and erase your rub-on.
Here are some techniques I've used with rub-ons:
Rub-on Techniques
1. Apply over a stamped image.
2. Apply over dry embossed images.
3. Apply to a transparency.
4. Apply to buttons.
5. Apply to candles.
6. Apply to cardstock. (Cut out to add dimension.)
7. Apply to chipboard (inked or plain).
8. Apply to designer paper.
9. Apply to Easter eggs.
10. Apply to fingernails
11. Apply to flower fusion flowers.
12. Apply to glass jars, mirrors, metal, tins, picture frames, or other home décor items.
13. Apply to photos.
14. Apply to punch box tin.
15. Apply to ribbon and twill tape.
16. Apply to textured cardstock.
17. Create unique watercolor resist accents with white rub-ons on white paper, then water color over the rub-ons.
18. Embellish parts of the rub-on with glitter.
19. Mask around a shape, then apply rub-ons in the center
20. Use markers or pencils to color in a rub-on.
