One of my favorite stamp sets from the Occasions Mini has been "With all my Heart." I've found so many different uses for this stamp set :) This idea came from the IB&C. It's a card sketch that was used with the "Tart and Tangy" stamp set. I realized I could use many different stamp sets for this same effect but decided to use "With all my Heart" one more time before you can't order it anymore, and the stamp becomes part of my personal stamp collection. The key to this card is to stamp twice and then punch each one out with a different circle punch....I used a 1" and a 3/4" circles. Order your supplies here.
Cardstock: Only Orange, Green Galore, Yoyo Yellow (yes, all leaving the end of June), Whisper White
Ink: Only Orange, Green Galore, Yoyo Yellow

Dreams with Cracked Glass
This morning as I stamped, I pulled out an oldie but a goodie technique...cracked glass. After stamping the image in Handsome Hunter, I added Apricot Appeal ink with the AquaPainter. I began making layers of Glassy Glaze enamel embossing powder over my stamped image and got my "Sanded" stamp ready to lay on top and inked it with Close to Cocoa. As I applied my last layer, I stamped on the stamp and....
...OBVIOUSLY, the stamp wasn't cleaned well before I put it away...so we have some shade of red rather than Close to Cocoa. Oh well, I decided it added a distressed look as well so I continued on with the card. The cutter kit created the fun edges you see and of course I had to spray some "Gold Glow" smooch spritz on it. I finally tried out the color catch....AWESOME! Now I don't have sparkles all over my desk. Happy Stampin'! Order your supplies here.
Cardstock: Apricot Appeal, Handsome Hunter, Very Vanilla (yes, the first two colors are retiring the end of June)
Ink: Handsome Hunter, Apricot Appeal

Girly Birthday
Last night as I was stamping, I had a great urge to use retiring colors. I must admit out of these colors, I only frequently use Barely Banana. But I LOVE how this card looks with these colors! The sketch came from the current IB&C...my favorite inspiration book :) And of course I had to try out some more of the smooch spritz. After I colored the cupcake with the Watercolor Crayons and an Aquapainter, I spritzed the whole cupcake with the smooch spritz...love the instant sparkle! Order your supplies here.

We created this tote and matching cards at stamp camp last week. Mine was a gift to our school secretary yesterday for Secretary's Day. Such an easy gift to whip up for any occasion. And besides...who can't use ready-to-go cards? :) I received my pre-order from the summer mini at the end of last week. I'm hoping to have some time to actually play with it today! :) Order your supplies here.

Spring
With all of the rain we're suppose to receive, it's made me think about spring! I'm sharing two more demo swaps today from our demo meeting this month.
Isn't this bunny so cute? I love the added detail of the patterned paper on the bunny and the sponged center of the flower. Too cute!
Don't recognize this stamp set?? You're in luck! We're getting a sneak peek to the "Awash with Flowers" stamp set that will be coming out in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. It's a great two-step stamping set that is available as a wood mount or a clear mount. Order your supplies here.

Mom
Have you started to think about what card you want to make Mom for Mother's Day? Here are three cute cards from our demo group meeting last week that would be perfect for any mom :)
This card features the resist technique using glossy paper. You also get a little sneak peek of a new impressions embossing folder in the Summer Mini. (Have you got your mini yet???)
This card has some fun coloring done on the flower basket as well as some behind the words. Check out that background....it's created with the scoring blade!
This card uses the window sheet for the greeting. These cards definitely got my brain turning with ideas. Order your supplies today to get started on your Mother's Day cards.

Watercolor Roses
These were fun to try with the shimmer white paper. They work BEST with Whisper White Craft ink...versamark doesn't work so well (the bottom left corner is one made w/ versamark and you can definitely tell the difference). This is another idea for a mother's day card. Order your supplies here.

Watercoloring
This month's technique night featured the Watercolor Crayons. This card was inspired by a card I saw on a blog I saw this week also. I LOVED how one flower was highlighted out of the three that were stamped. I thought it would be perfect for the technique I was focusing on. Most of the ladies ended up coloring in all three flowers (more practice watercoloring)...but either way this simple card turned out pretty. Order your supplies here.

Chalkboard Tree
It's been awhile since I'ved done the chalkboard technique but I saw something this past week on a blog post that reminded me of this fun technique. I stamped the tree in Whisper White craft ink on Basic Black cardstock. I let it sit for just a few minutes so it wouldn't smear and then colored over the white ink with the Watercolor Pencils. Love the effect it gives. Order your supplies here.
