We had a special birthday party to attend last weekend, and I found a pattern for this gift card holder card here.  It's so easy and simple!

I love how quickly it came together. To ensure that it would be quick, I used the Ice Cream Parlor Pack from the Sale-a-Bration mini.  It was PERFECT!  Order your supplies here.

Ice Cream Cone Card

I've seen this idea floating around on our demo discussion board.  I made it my own by putting both the ice cream scoop and the cone in embossing folders to texturize them.  I had this card available at my stamp camp this month.  One of the guests created one with a Pacific Point scoop...and it DEFINITELY looked like a snowcone.  I definitely see using this card idea more and more :)  Order your supplies here.

Baby Card....Step-up

This card is a bit of a step-up from the one I made earlier this month.  The best part about the stamped background is that I put all of the stamps on one clear block and then stamped the background using Versamark.  It makes this type of background very easy and quick when you can put them all on one block!
  Order your supplies here.

Triple Cupcakes

I love that you can punch out this cupcake from different colors of cardstock, and you have everything you need to create your card.  This color combo was inspired through the Color Coach (LOVE that thing).  I knew that I wanted to use the Melon Mambo pompom trim so I had at least a color to start with.  Order your supplies here.

Ink:  Marina Mist
Stamps:  Occasional Quotes
Accessories:  Melon Mambo Pompom Trim, Tombow Multi, Build-a-Cupcake Punch

Embossed Vellum

I saw this idea on someone's blog earlier this month.  I thought it was a great way to use DSP that you just might have hanging around.  The vellum overlay that is embossed adds just the right touch.  Order your supplies here.

Ink:  None
Stamps:  None
Accessories:  Big Shot, Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon

Bright Birthday

For stamp camp this past month, the ladies specificially requested male birthday cards.  I thought these colors went well together and could easily be used for a boy...even though it would work well for any teen in my opinion.  I remembered this technique of stamping the image and then filling in the bubble letters with a versamarker.  This card was definitely a hit!  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Pumpkin Pie, Brights Patterns DSP
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Versamarker
Stamps:  Bring on the Cake
Accessories:  Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain (retired)

Owl Birthday

This is a very simple card created with the Sale-a-Bration stamp set "Punch Bunch."  I love how you can quickly make a card using just two colors, punches, and dimensionals.  The only thing tricky about this card is the owl's eyes.  In order to get them to punch correctly, you have to stamp the owl once for each eye.  Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry
Stamps:  Punch Bunch (SAB), Something to Celebrate (Hostess)

Love You Much

I'll be sharing the swap cards from this month's demo meeting the next few days.  First of all, I can't capture all the sparkle on this card.  The Whisper White background is spritzed with the champagne mist shimmer paint/rubbing alchol mixture to add LOTS of sparkle to the background.  I need to use this technique more for sure!  Order your supplies here.

Ink:  Real Red

Thank You

This is my swap card for my demo meeting for this month.  I saw this technique of how to use the tulips impressions folder on our Stampin' Up! demo community.  The card I saw referenced this blog tutorial.  Wow!  I can't get enough of this technique...so fun to play with.  I'm still working on other sizes to work with this technique.  The best tip I can give you is to cut out the "frame" after you're done because this technique tends to leave a wrinkled edge on at least one corner.  Have fun creating with this technique!  Order your supplies here.

Sweet Valentine

When I made this card, I wanted it to be pretty generic so it doesn't have to be used just for your spouse and I also wanted it to be the non-traditional colors.  I first turned to the color coach and chose this color combo.  I decided to use the ghosting techique.  For this techinque, you stamp images in versamark on Glossy cardstock.  Then you emboss the images...for this particular card I chose clear EP because I did want a little of the pink leftover on top of the hearts.  Then you brayer the whole piece of glossy cardstock.  Love the finishing touch of the Pompom Trim.  Happy Valentine's Weekend :) Order your supplies here.
Cardstock:  Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Glossy White
Ink:  Melon Mamob, Elegant Eggplant, Versamark
Stamps:  I {Heart} Hearts, Something to Celebrate

For You Flower

Love it when you remember a technique that you haven't used in a while.  For the designer paper I cut a strip that measures 1 1/2" x 12" and then score every 1/4".  After it's all scored, cut it down the middle (3/4") and you have two strips :)  Attach the two strips together with sticky strip and fan fold.  Place on the back of the scallop flower using mini glue dots.  This will be one of the cards offered at Saturday night's stamp camp :)
Order your supplies here.

Sparkly Sprinkles Cupcake

I already had this letterpressed background sitting on my desk from showing a friend how the letterpress plates worked so I had to use it on this girly birthday card :)  I'm so glad I got the "Create a Cupcake" stamp set to match the "Build a Cupcake" punch.  SO much fun to use the two together.  This card was for a special little lady so I had to add some sparkle to it...LOVE the smooch accent inks!  They definitely make adding just a little bit of sparkle SO simple.  Order your supplies here.

Celebrate Cupcake

This weekend we were off to a party so I made this quick card before we ran out the door.  I hadn't turned on my computer yet for the day so you'll have to settle for this not so good picture of the card.  I like the idea of using the Designer Label punch behind the cupcake....definitely makes for some quick layers!  Order your supplies here.

AWESOME!

We got a call from the principal at our kids' school this week.  One thing I LOVE about our kids' school is that they try to praise the kids as much as possible.  She was calling to let us know that J.R. was praised that morning at the pow-wow for doing an outstanding score on multiple math tests in a row.  It's always a good feeling to hear positive things about your kids.  So not only did he bring home at math charm for his power necklace but also a reading charm (which for him is even a bigger accomplishment :)  He's not really sure why he got the reading charm...my guess would be that he's improving his reading scores on reading tests.  I thought this would be the perfect card to give him to tell him how proud we are of his accomplishments!  Order your supplies here.

Quick Birthday Notes

Over the weekend, I needed to make some quick birthday cards.  I opted to just make a card front so my son could just write his message right on the card.  He knows my cards too well and was a bit frustrated when he couldn't get the cards to open :)  I really like how these simple cards turned out!  Next time I think I would use a VersaMarker on the inside of the "birthday" greeting.  But LOVE how easy these were!  Order your supplies here.
