Fieldtrip to the Nutcracker Ballet. 1st Graders LOVE the first half because there's actually a storyline (kuddos to the teachers for actually reading the book to the kids yesterday so they knew what it was about). The second half was neat as far as the ballet but not a whole lot of a storyline. I heard multiple times from the kids around me..."how many more dancers do we have to watch"...next time maybe the teachers should explain the music and what each dance is (Spanish Dance, Russian Dance, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies, etc.) Overall, it was a fun experience. Now the debate begins...do I take Sierra this year while she LOVES ballet or wait a year or two until she would really understand it?

Which company did you see? I danced in the City Ballet of San Diego one for two years...that looks like the theater we dance at.
